Michael maintains a busy litigation practice acting for construction companies, property developers and clients on various contract law, as well as labour and employment law matters. He has acted for clients in major class action litigation. He has worked through aboriginal governance issues before the Federal Court. He has been there for clients when relationships broke down between shareholders and corporate officers. He is especially active in the construction industry, working on claims against builders on issues of design flaws and remediation, mechanics’ lien and breach of contract litigation.
In addition to various administrative settings, Michael has appeared before all levels of court in the province, including the Provincial Court of Newfoundland and Labrador, the Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador, the Court of Appeal, the Federal Court of Canada, and the Federal Court of Appeal.
