Tony provides a varied practice with an emphasis on family and criminal law. He is most happy as a lawyer when in the court room and has appeared at all levels of court in Newfoundland and Labrador: Provincial Court (including many circuits on the coast of Labrador), Supreme Court, Family Court and the Court of Appeal (where he argued the important sentencing case of R. v. Hutchings).
He has been a member of the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador since 1994 and has practiced in Happy Valley – Goose Bay, Carbonear, and (since 1996) St. John’s.
Tony was born and raised in St. John’s and is the father of two young girls. He is a licensed private pilot but now leaves flying to the professionals. He tries to work off his wife’s excellent cookery by getting in some marathon training on the local trails.
